What’s your Vibe? (Or – have you thought about your brand?)
What’s your vibe?
For the last two days, if you’re in my Facebook group (and you should be dammit – If you’re not, you can sign up here!), you may have noticed I’ve been playing around with the Facebook cover.
I made two images which I was trying out and I kept swapping them.
And back to the first again!..
So why did I keep changing it?
Because I was trying to stick to my vibe (aka my brand).
Turns out, the colours which show up on your mobile are not necessarily the same colours you might see on your computer. I’ve ended up going with the image where the colours on both computer and mobile are as close as possible to my brand colours.
Have you got brand colours? Have you thought about what vibe you want to portray?
If not, it’s a good idea to do it.
It’s really important that how you show up online and (in reality) is as consistent as possible. That means choosing a “look and feel” (colours, fonts, images, etc ) for your brand and trying to stick to it everywhere. That might be on your website/business cards/Facebook page or anywhere else your clients might come across you.
Deciding on your vibe and keeping it consistent means that:
1) Where ever people come across you they’ll recognise you and know who you are.
2) Your brand, or your “look and feel” will communicate to your potential clients who you are and what’s your vibe – even if you’re not there in person.
It’s fun to do. So if you’ve not really thought it through yet, it’s really worth – even if you don’t really think you have a brand.
